From Jeep to Jawa, thats how Mahindra brings back to life, our classic heritage. A quick look at the upcoming Jawa 300 reveals, how keen the company is in ensuring the classic elements intact. Inspired from the Jawa’s and Yezdi’s our dads have grown up with, the big squared tank, headlight housing, twin exhausts, big mudguards and a 300cc, spotted on a test vehicle, stays true to the signature elements on original marquees.
The spotted one is among the 3 different 300cc models to be rolled out, first being on November 15th. The retro styling retained takes the bike squarely against Bullet Classic. The 293 cc engine is likely to churn out 27bhp if it is the same motor on the Mojo series but with a classic styling. It is a liquid cooled single cylinder 4 stroke engine with fuel injection with a 5 speed transmission
The wheels are spoked and tubed. Only one disc break on the front wheels hint at a single channel ABS. The retro look is enhanced by oodles of chrome, the chromed engine casing, telescopic suspension, fork gaiters, twin gas charged rear shocks, leather finished single seat that tapers to the rear, the boat shaped mudguards and the spoked wheels.
The bike will be launched on November 15th, with deliveries in early 2019. Mahindra Two wheelers, the chief partner of Classic Legends, which owns the Jawa brand is going to sweetly price it to woo all the fans of the legends of yore and create more of them.
